Gimnazija Kranj Symphony Orchestra on Great Christmas Concert 2012 - Between Heaven and Earth in Cankarjev dom (Gallus Hall). The slovenian youth perfomered famous parodical overture by french composer Jacques Offenbach, Orpheus in Underworld Overture. It is special magic moment, filled with poetry, nostalgia and love with our youth orchestra on sold out concert. Our kids play beautifully with musicality and great energy. Veliki božični koncert Gimnazije Kranj 2012 - Med nebom in zemljo. V razprodani Gallusovi dvorani Cankarjevega doma je Veliki simfonični orkester Gimnazije Kranj zaigral uverturo Jacquesa Offenbacha: uverturo iz operete Orfej v podzemlju. Neprecenljiv in posnetek, kjer se glasba združuje z mladostjo, poezija z energijo mladosti, virtuoznost z nostalgijo. Mladi glasbeniki vložijo v skladbo vso svojo energijo in muzikalnost. It was so nice to see a young lady playing the double bass. Because of the instruments size it is usually the preserve of the men. But That young lady played so brilliantly on pizzicato and her bowing was sublime. I hope other young ladies follow where she gas led.

I'm playing this piece in a community band right now. I'm a freshman in highschool, so my chair isn't high, but I hope I can play the clarinet solo in this someday. The whole slow section with the cello, flute, oboe and clarinet solos is so beautiful.
