You don’t need to skip a real time day, only 72 minutes because that’s the amount of time it takes for a day to pass in game, then once you do that you exit out the game without saving and enter back without skipping anymore time because the auction will keep rerolling

I'm pretty sure yo need to have a rotom in your party for the rotom catalog to show at the auction house, on top of being lucky but I'm not too sure, that's what Austin observed in his testing
