I bought Vaonis 2, very nice telescope, image quality and built quality.

Hoping to get my hands on Dwarf 3, the Dwarf 2 that I own has been a gamechanger as I'm physically impaired and moving around is really hard, especially with larger objects in my hands.

excellent reviews, totally agree with you, i already own the Dwarf 2 and it went beyond my expectations. i also use a 6inch sct goto telescope and the two together give me all that i want from observing our universe .

Ordered my Dwarf 3 back in May...I have the Dwarf 2 and I can't wait to see how much better the latest iteration will be. It seems that smart telescopes will follow a similar path to smartphones, as in there will always be a newer model on sale soon enough. On a good night, I have my Dwarf imaging whilst I am looking upwards with either my 127 Skymax or my150mm TS Photon reflector.

This video provides an amazing perspective on the current state of smart telescopes. While many of the latest models are still new and somewhat overpriced... they can still be a great choice for those interested in capturing deep sky objects with smart telescopes! Personally, I have a Seestar S50, and I love it! I've been using it more than my previous setup that I used all the time.

I chose the Seestar S50. Dwarf coming in a close 2nd.

Excellent review. I believe that smart telescopes are the future of amateur astronomy and they are attracting many new people into the hobby. Many people use an ASIAIR, Eagle or a PC to essentially create a smart telescope. The latest generation of even smarter telescopes as you point out are doing a great job in providing people with a complete solution right out of the box.

right now im stuck between a dwarf 3 or a S50. I would also consider a varonis but for 1200 I think I'd just go the 500 route with about the same quality pics. I will say today the Dwarf 2's had a firmware update that added EQ mode, improved auto focus and I'm pretty sure they did something to the sensor. My shots seem better as im live stacking as we speak.

Nice review, I would only say that although Seestar represents a very good value, Vespera 2 I think is the best value on the market right now, it’s just a more mature system with better build quality, ability to choose fov, ability to rotate targets for framing, Starvis 2 etc… but you do have to pay more. I’m excited to test out the dwarf3 but I see that one as a companion scope to the other robots due to its widefield design

I'm looking at either of Seestar or DwarfIII but I want to print out the images at A4 or A3 size. I have little interest in iPhone/Ipad images. Can you comment on which is best for my needs?

Thank you for the comparison, I enjoyed viewing the video. You mentioned the possibility of equatorial mode for the Seestar, have you tried it? can you do a tutorial for us beginners? Best regards.

Great video, I’m looking at the Vespera II & Pro, which would you recommend for deep sky astrophotography?

Strange to see D3 mentioned and Vespera Pro skipped. They are both new addition in 2024.

Dwarf 3 would be the best for travel and carrying it with you wherever you go. Everything else, including the S50 is too bulky/heavy.

When do you think the Seestar successor will be released?

Having chosen the IMX178 camera sensor (which is very outdated) for their supposed premium $4000 Celestron Origin baffles me. Even the $450 Dwarf 3 has a MUCH better sensor.

What puts me off the Dwarf 3 is the lack of replacable battery and removable sd card which are retrograde steps imo.

Don't much like 'smart' telescopes.
