Getting Steven Adams back will also change the picture a lot for Memphis: his ability to screen will get Ja a lot of clean looks in the paint, soak up more offensive boards, and keep Jaren Jackson Jr out of foul trouble.

That'll make it even harder to come up with an answer for Ja given their lack of size.

Brooks with a significant assist in shutting down GP2s defense

Warriors defensive strategy is to let Ja get whatever points he wants…as long as no-one else eats…that strategy almost won them 2 away games…the 5 point difference in Game 2 was due to the Warriors unusually poor shooting at 18% from 3, combined with GP2 being out the entire game.

Kevin, this is fantastic sound design 👏

Ja is way too explosive and elusive to trap, especially that far out on the perimeter. The only way to slow him down is a big, athletic big who can challenge him at the rim, which the Warriors don't have lol.

I feel a player like Morant needs to capitalise on his youthful gifts. That boost of speed is absurd from standing, it just won't be there forever, hope he can achieve great things

Poole just lost a max contract with that ankle knee breaker.

Bro Klay would never be able to stay in front of ja he’s still good defensively but he’s not guarding the quickest players in the league. Dame not that crafty or quick he’s more precision so you can predict

I have to disagree about wiggins they kept switching him off but when he was on Morant he made him earn his buckets

GP2 plus another if Ja drives was effective in slowing down his scoring in the paint. Without GP2, no one has the speed, strength and vertical leap to stop Ja.
The Warriors will just have to turn this series into who can score more points. I'm talking about scores of 130 to 150 points. Jordan has the NBA all time single game playoff scoring record of 63. Kobe's best is 81. If Steph, Klay and Poole just give up on spending energy stopping Ja in the paint, and focus on 3s to the tune of at least 30+ points for each of them, Ja's scoring will be neutralized.

Ja is about to completely destroy Curry's legacy and I like that, he never deserved to win anyways, always bailed out by his teammates yet being their superstar because he is a globetrotter in a regular season

Memphis played game 2 without 3.5 of their starters (corpse of Bane, 3min of Brooks, big Kiwi and JJJ on foul trouble). Dont foget Memphis got best 6-11 roster in the league and only Zaire showed something.

They left out the other historic thing Ja did....he CLEARLY carried the ball four times in a row but the refs called a travel on Klay.

When morant has the ball they are And1 refs..but when klay got the ball they turned into 1950s high school basketball refs.

The Warriors defeated Chris Paul and James Harden. There is no doubt the Warriors will crush the Grizzlies, they way they crushed GPII. They better hope its not Ja as the collateral damage.

This is a crap title. Ja didn't break the Warriors, the Warriors broke the Warriors. Come on.
