We have had a lot of loss in our family. My twin sister when we were 20, a week before my son, my only child, was born. 25 years later, we lost my grandparents and my son in 11 months. It's just my mother and I left now. Co-workers asked me how I handle that much I tell them: Every day here is one day closer to being with them. The Lord is my strength, and they are home....waiting for me.

This song just made me collapse and ugly cry. This world is such a lonely place for the believer. I can't wait until we all go home to be with Jesus.

In 2022, my brother died with his two kids and wife surpassing him. Later, my husband and I had a miscarriage with our first. To say this year has been one of suffering is an understatement. When I hear the words “in the doorway of my fathers house, I’m home” - I imagine myself running into Christ’s arms and being hugged by my brother and my child who I’ll meet for the first time. What a day that we yearn for - take heart fellow believers, Christ is coming soon.

Reminds me of a dream I had many years ago. I'm standing in a huge doorway looking in...it's not time for me to go in yet; I was being given "a glimpse" of what I had to look forward to. All I know was I was looking at a sea of people whose hands were raised in worship in what seemed a never ending auditorium filled with light and they were singing the most beautiful song of praise to the Lover of their Souls, all completely caught up in the song, the Song emanating from someplace deep within them, in a language all understood belonging to God, and all I could think of was "I want to be in there among them!" I could not wait. Everyone unique, everyone completely individual but completely united in worship and pure JOY. I cannot wait to be among the heavenly throng and when I am amongst God's people on Sunday mornings, in a conference of believers, or even just in a small group and we're singing praise to our Lord, it's a sweet but oh so small taste of what is to come. Go to church, beloved! Go to worship together! Thank you for this song, Shane and Shane!

This is very special - I wept as I listened as these lyrics were part of the testimony of my late son who God chose to take to be with Him at the age of 25. Our son lived a life dedicated to Christ and longed to be with the Saviour he loved so much and served so well. Now he has said "I'm Home" - for now, for our family, it is a life separated from David but one day the separation will be over and we will share eternity with Jesus and with him and all of our family and friends who have gone on before.
How lovely is your dwelling place - i.e. I love your dwelling place, O Lord.
What a day it will be when all sin, sorrow, suffering, sickness, sadness and separation are gone for ever, to be replaced with sharing, singing and serving around the Throne in 'His dwelling place'.

I have read many of the comments and share the feelings of the messages. Heaven IS real. It is our destination. It is abt how we live here on earth, in the meantime, that matters. It is not talked abt enough. We are to bring His Kingdom alive on Earth, as IT IS in HEAVEN. Til our time to be called home. Amen 🙏🙌👏

When my mom passed I felt homeless. I didn’t grow up in one place or even have a hometown. So so just always felt the home was where my family was. When she went home with Jesus I felt lost and and like I lost that sense of home. Yet as I read this psalm and listened to this beautiful song I that to dwell with God my heavenly dad the one who crated my spirit and my soul is to be home. This touched my heart and in a beautiful way brought healing and race to my heart. Thank you for sharing this song.
