The YMCA Youth And Government program and the Civics' Center partnered to create Legacy: The Y's Class of 2020 Celebration on May 28th, 2020.
On the night of May 28th, we hosted a nationwide virtual event that brought together YMCA leaders, public figures, and hundreds, even thousands, of graduating Y students from across the country. Combining speaker sessions and interactive prompts with a virtual voter registration drive, we hope that The Y’s Class of 2020 Celebration gave participants an empowering send-off to their adult life.
Of the ten speakers who gave an address to our 300+ registered attendees, this video is Ohio Senator Robert Portman's message.
