People aren't really adapting, it's more dominant than it was before. Before it was just khabib. But now there are 3 guys with 1 win away from a title shot from that region. There's a real possibility of 4 champs next year

They are kinda adapting, but Dagestanis ate also adapting to striking now... it's crazy, look at Makhachev the guy can surprise you at any moment it's actually scary, you'd think you are safe from his wrestling until you realise that now you're not safe from his striking, Ankalaev as well, everyone thought he's a wrestler until he started knocking out people got Cutelaba KOed and now he recently KOed Johnny Walker, also former UFC phenomenon Zabit Magomesharipov the guy was showing masterclass striking he was doing amazing only to stop because of his heart condition and to become a doctor, not to mention Usman nurmagomedov he's now Bellator champ, his striking is perfect the guy pulled an unbelievable question mark kick on Benson Robinson... i think they're mutating into well rounded fighters and it's concerning.

I think it’s here to stay…. Wrestling is basically the best base to have in the sport of MMA. I think there’s still quite a few Dagestani fighters that we’ll be seeing over the next decade. They’re just so damn tough & disciplined regarding both training & combat. There’s few regions in the world that are like that these days. Most cultures are just getting softer and softer. While these guys daily lives consist of only 5 things… eat, sleep, takedown, submit and pray to Allah… they don’t party or fuck around. All they know is “Smesh”.

wrestling will always be a very good base for mma due to the ruleset. but many of these dagis are combat sambo fighters which is pretty much mma. that being said, call up craig jones to reverse engineer it. though in a pure grappling sense, bjj will always be better than sambo.

look at the guys, they're in America and have no choice but to win or else they're back in Russia, they're settled down and disciplined and living together as a family that has each other's backs 100%..and yeah it's only natural for the game to catch up to their wrestling BUT no one is catching up with that aspect I just mentioned, sean is the guy to ask though, he's the one who's beat 2 Dagestanis..who the F else is?

I think technique is not much! It is more of their work ethic, discipline, mentality but for the most part of it is religion! Being devoted muslims have different mentality in fighting! They dont drink, play with bitches, etc. They have the strongest will and they will never tap most of them! I mean if you look at Khabib, Islam, Khamzat, and Shavkat, and others, this will tell alot!
