I feel like the instrumental version of Rivers in the Desert makes the vocal version 10x better. Hearing the vocals kick in with Shido's second phase made it clear that the real fight had begun and it was amazing

This song gives off messages of hope, yet a constant danger at the same time. Perfect for the battle it was introduced with and everything it meant to the Thieves.

For me, this was the true final boss. Yaldaboath was more of a "tying up loose ends" arc. Shido was Joker's prime reason for everything he fought for and the driving force of the game. I also liked how Shido wasn't an OP god, just a normal guy who had money, power and connections.
