Redevelopment: Old Sacramento 1965
Показать описание
KCRA-TV reporter Otis Turner takes us on a tour of the area now known as Old Sacramento. In the 1960s, Sacramento's downtown and West End were going through major phases of redevelopment. The oldest, most historic part of town was in poor shape and had become the city's skid row. In this film, you will see what was, and the early stages of what was to come. Today, Old Sacramento is thriving with restaurants, businesses, night clubs, the Delta King riverboat, as well as the Sacramento History Museum and the California State Railroad Museum. It is hard to believe that what once looked like a post-apocalyptic wasteland is now a beautiful location to visit and explore Sacramento's historic past.
