Remember when you forgot to put the nut on the other side of the flaring before flaring

This would work for a braze coupling, but if you use this for a flare but on a mini split you asking for a catastrophic leak within

I remember when an old school flaring tool, with the nut put on first, took less time than having to do it twice. But hey good for you... 😆

This method causes refrigerant leaks to appear prematurely for any mini split system. From my experience, the most common problem they have are leaks or dirty air filters. Believe it or not they have low failure rates on their parts, it’s usually the individual’s lack of attention to detail and using improper tools. The two most common complaints I get about them are either “it’s not cooling” or “it’s not blowing any air” and it’s usually low refrigerant or the air filters are dirty. Just because it’s a faster tool it does not mean it’s a better tool.
