How do you modify a Gmail filter?
Quick settings → See all settings → Filters & Blocked Addresses
Edit or Delete as required.
What if you have a huge list of filters? Great question!
Ctrl F is your friend here → Pick a smart word → locate!

How to modify a Gmail label
From the all settings screen: select Labels
Scroll past System Labels and Categories → Edit
That was the long cut
Here’s the shortcut: Hover over a label → Settings (3 dots) → Edit
What option is unique to the shortcut method… it exists nowhere else? → Change label color

Oh wonk of wonks. Idea for you. What if you made a bunch of YouTube Shorts in addition to these fuller pieces. Maybe hyperblast versions of them with link to these more robust versions. basically :36-55 in this vid. could be simply the clipped piece of this vid or same content reshot. titled something like "Gmail: Editing Filters in 30 seconds". Shorts have to be formatted a little differently though. Last idea... it a bit hard to see your pointer on the screen. not sure how people get their pointer to have a glowing circle around it so it can be seen when viewing on smaller screens, but that could really help (coming from 50 yr old eyes ;). I think you could pull this off better than anyone else out there using your style/ approach.

I'm trying to update a label. In quality email programs they are called groups or lists but here you have to call them labels. Anyway I'm forced to work with gmail as that is what has been choosen.
Anyway it should be a simple procedure. I have a label for a email group. Things have changed and the contact people are not the same. I found how I can delete a person from the list, but how do I add a new member to the label?

What you did not tell me is if I change the logic of the label or a label text hot to apply it to all messages and update past emails with the new label. I use win 10 and firefox browser.

seeing few labels are not allowing to create filters to delete. i mean while creating or editing filters in few cases the delete check box is greyed out making it not possible to check. is there any workaround fr that?
