Here's a look at the new Team Orion VST2 Pro motor. This brushless, sensored, 540 sized motor is fully modified and available in many turn options. I chose the 7.5t version for my track. Here's where I got it and some info directly from Team Orion:

With the Vortex VST2 Pro sensor brushless motors for 1/10 scale cars Team Orion introduces a completely new motor design using the experience from the World Championship winning Vortex brushless motors. The VST2 Pro features a convenient dual sensor port system which allows the motor to be installed in your car in the best possible way. The empty port can be used to easily program your ESC through the motor. A protection cap for the second port is included.

Furthermore the VST2 Pro features a new sensor design for outstanding performance and optimized efficiency. The case is a robust CAD design made out of high-grade aluminum machined at an extremely high level of accuracy and quality. Perfectly balanced rotors are used together with high quality stator materials. R&D manager Oscar Jansen also included a new rotor installation tool which makes it easy to rebuild your motors - and a sensor cable holder which at the same time protects the solder tabs !

The VST2 is a great motor for the 22 2.0. Adjust the turn according to the track size and class you'll be racing in

You'll get the most out of motor if you partner the motor and ESC. Like if you go with the R10 Pro from Orion, go with the VST2 Pro. The ESC's and Motors re really made for each other and you're able to tune the motor better with the capabilities with the ESC programming.

Yeah, I will do a comparision when I get some time with the Orion

It's super smooth and temps are way low in comparison to the Tekin system I was running. The R10 Pro is awesome as well.

The 120a version should be fine for the 6.5t. I went with the 160a to have both zero issues and versatility down the line if I wanted to run it in a larger vehicle

I will see, but I will be running it in a 4wd buggy with the motor mounted in the center of the vehicle. I will have the full review up in a couple weeks once I get some testing going.

The Orion r10 ESC is great, you're probably going to want to get the programmer box. It makes programming a lot faster and easier.

There's not really a KV conversion to "turn" motors. There's guess-ta-ments, but really it depends on the size of motor and the amount of power you put into it. This 7.5 motor is quite fast. Basically the lower the turn, the faster the motor is, kind of reverse of kv. Yet another thing the RC industry needs to standardize!

Those are vents to let heat escape. Most higher end motors have them now excluding "waterproof" motors.

Yea and I would like to see this compare to TEKIN!! Every body at my indoor track runs this combo in there 1/10 buggies, so it must've good!

Hey sorry to ask but I uploaded another video if my outdoor track. Those are the two I go to, but I'm gonna go to a big outdoor soon:)

I thought the 6.5 would be too much motor for the B44.2.

im thinking of running this or the lrp in the xray t4 which motor is better quality? also is this motor also made of 7075-t6 aluminum?

I wonder if this motor has hi temps. That amount of ventilation seems scary to drive in a rear motor mount.

Hi I've got the same setup I.e RC10 Pro with the VST2 7.5T motor. Reading the instruction ESC manual it says that the A, B & C connections on the motor have to be connected correct. The ESC is only colour coded yellow, orange & blue. So what colour goes to say A on the motor
Would appreciate any help that you could give me thanks
