Best of luck to Andy Green, Richard Noble and the rest of the Bloodhound team. We need more pioneers like this these days to push the boundaries and inspire the rest of us. Ultimately efforts like this filter down with the engineering and lessons learnt having an impact on all our lives. Think of the great things that have been achieved - Concorde, man on the moon, the list goes on. Sadly, visionaries are becoming increasingly rare in our risk averse world, indeed, it could be argued that progress is actually being reversed in many ways, particularly with our increasing intolerance towards speed in particular.

Why the wheels are different from each side? Normally i know they would use the full aluminium wheels shown on one side; the other ones with the special tires fitted have i presume a different purpose?
