This wheel does look really solid on all the terrains I have seen. And man it picks up speed really quick. Thanks for sharing

I got my sherman s on Tuesday only done about 20km on it so far because of weather and work but love it and the build quality is next level.really considering getting a patton now aswell as I don't own a 16inch wheel and from what people are saying it's an exciting euc.

Yes it’s you settings so have fun playing with it and look forward to seeing it. Pushback is the real warning.

I believe that OS % tiltback is PWM. 80% is typically where final beeps come in on most wheels.

You probably still have it in HT mode... which has a speed limit ~43mph. If you flip it to HS mode (check the manual), you can "supposedly" touch 50. Not my cup of tea so YMMV.

When I'm not riding bike paths - I have mine alerting at 35ish and tilting at 40ish... but I'm a very conservative rider and like plenty of safety margin.

I've hit 50 mph at 87% PWM on my Patton

Beep beep beep! That's the PWM alarm. The Patton beeps at 85% PWM. That leaves you with a safety margin of 15%. Since you set OS tiltback at 85% PWM that is where tiltback will initiate... and it does so in a very creeping manner which is almost unnoticeable.... until you pass it by 7-8% PWM... all the way to 92... 93 maybe... and then it will suddenly become very noticeable. But then you will have been riding beyond the beeps for quite a while. I keep my tiltback at 78%... and this way I can ride the subtle tiltback and if I push hard enough it will usually coincide with the 85% beeps. This also leaves me with some safety margin in case I hit a bump. Begode tiltback with custom firmware is far superior... but this is better than nothing.

The Patton is definitely not a 50mph wheel. It is a 44mph wheel. You can just touch 44mph at 85% PWM. It keeps speed decently at half battery and even below that. Also the speed is over-reported by about 6%. So it is even slower than that. And this is on the high speed mode and with me being a 150lbs rider. Almost as fast as the EXN. Faster than the Nikola Plus.

I have yet to push beyond 42.2mph on my Patton. But, I removed my beeper so I'm still getting a feel for the PWM tiltback and whether I trust it to keep me from pushing too far.

The community is raving over the Patton. Is the Patton the best EUC ever?

Regarding Dawn's remarks... far be it for me to question her high speed expertise... BUT, there are variables other than rim/tire diameter that contribute to stability at speed... tire type/profile, tire pressure, weight differences and weight distribution differences between wheels, and of course experience on said smaller diameter wheels are all contributing factors.

Coming up as I have... 16S -> V10F -> 16X -> Patton... the Patton feels extremely stable at speed. Would a larger wheel feel even more so? Very likely, but for what I'm used to... the Patton is extremely stable.

Love your stuff Duff. Did you get a good price for the begote?

My record on fresh battery is 44-45ish mph. I can do 37-40mph down to 55%.
They really squeezed a lot of sustained performance out of this wheel

Someone loaned me a GoPro 4 a few years ago. The software made my puter lock up.

My go to wheel is my Nikola plus, I find it no less stable at 40 mph than my Sherman... I personally think 16"-17" is perfectly fine stability wise. I am only 5' 7"/180# ... so unless the stability changes for taller/heavier people, I would not NOT recommend a 16" wheel to anyone based on stability. I actually believe the smaller wheel turning faster might even be more stable at 40mph than a bigger wheel... the bigger wheel obviously will be able to reach higher speed. Unless you only want high speed, I say 16" is just fine

I'm having a similar issue with my OG Sherman. 2 minutes into my ride and I'm at 65% under load, whereas normally I'm at 85%; even after charging it all night. It's not always the case, but it does happen from time to time.

Dump the go pro gear. If you want a reliable camera that works every time get a DJI Action 3 camera. Cheaper than GoPro too. If fact they’re announcing the newest version on August 2. Rumored called the DJI action 4. DJI also has an awesome wireless mic if you need a new wireless microphone on your rides.

How do you live there, totally not a single pedestrian one on the abandoned palms place

I've seen 48.6 on the c pro, 50 mph is elusive...
