Even though my “kids” are adults, I still think of back to school season as a signal for a deep clean before winter comes. This video is also a good reminder.👍

I really appreciate it. I'm kinda new to cleaning and finding my own cleaning hacks, and it really helps to see encouraging and simple yet thorough videos like this one

I use vinegar and water for most of my surfaces. Your kitchen is so beautiful and you have motivated me to do my own fall deep clean! Thanks for the inspiration.

I love making my own cleaners. I have probably tried them all. I have both you made today, the Downy wrinkle release spray (which alone has saved me a fortune. It works great in place of an iron 😊- for most occasions anyway.) I also use the Castile soap Dr. Bronner’s also as the addictive to water for my hand soap. My hands were always so cracked and bled often. I heard this helped . So, I have tried it for about a year now- I started last fall. It has made the biggest difference in how my hands are on a daily basis. So thankful for everyone who shares these great Ideas. Cleaner is so much cheaper for me now than it used to be. I love a good cleaner! These homemade versions seem to be just as good for a much cheaper price. I can use something stronger on rare occasion if the need arises. But usually these are more than sufficient. Thanks for sharing!

Vinegar is an acid baking soda is a base. They do together when fizzing and have a weak cleaning action but are more effective when used by themselves

Hello Cristina, thanks for sharing your tips and cleaning motivation! I also make natural cleaners since they are so cost-effective, easy to make and customizable. Have a great weekend!❤

I make my own clraner as well, usually with dish soap and water. I usually use some natural brand. I also read elsewhere recently that vinegar added to a soap solution basically renders the soap ineffective. Orange is my favourite essential oil!

Thanks for sharing your cleaners. I am definitely going to convert to these as I find I have way too many cleaners.

I love using vinegar to clean bc i feel it helps with odors. I'm reminded of a time i was helping out friends with their catering business. The state inspector came in and we had dish washer with bleach added in. He said that was a no no bc it was canceling each other out, and to only add the bleach to the rinse water to disinfect. I never thought about vinegar doing the same. 😬

Not for sure about the chemistry but dawn and vinegar work that’s why I use them. It will clean soap scum that’s pretty impressive. It also works similar to dawn power wash on super dirty dishes.

Thank you! I use Castile soap to clean my floors too.

I have used home made cleaners for quite some time. Pretty much the same as these you use. But with the vinegar I add about a tablespoon of rubbing alcohol. I find that works really well on stainless steel and glass.

This is so inspiring, many thanks! 👏🏻

I use an old-school disinfecting cleaner I've been making since the 80's . . . But it's not "natural" - a combination of dishwashing liquid detergent (e.g. Dawn), ammonia, and water. I've recently started using Mrs. Meyer's concentrate in a dilution with water for general purpose cleaning and add clove oil to deter ants and spiders. The grease cutter I recently started using is citrus based. I stay away from Dr. Bronner's because I live in an area with severe hard water and that castille soap spots like crazy here and leaves a severe soap scum build-up. No one understands it unless they live in this region of the desert without a water softener.

I use vinegar in place of fabric softener in the washer, for cleaning my dishwasher, toilets, and many other applications. I feel like the smell dissipates quickly, but my grown children don't agree😄 I think it leaves my laundry smelling great if I add a citrus essential oil to the jug of vinegar.

Great video! Could you please make a video about cleaning appliances? Especially toaster. Something not chemical. Thank you.

You sold me! I’m going to go this route after I finish up what I already have. Where did you get the labels for your spray bottles?
