What can I say? I'm completely, utterly in love with this series. Seriously, I'm on my third rewatch and it never gets boring. Aidan couldn't be more perfect as Ross (btw, I'm so happy he's starting to get some recognition! It's about time!), and Eleanor....don't even get me started on Demelza, she's my favourite character. Obviously I ship Ross&Demelza like there's no tomorrow XD My next video will be all about them, but for the moment I was inspired to make my own opening credits for the show. Short and simple, but I quite like it XD Enjoy!

Dear Ms Neville. Let me explain how I came to share your passion for the new Poldark. Missus A discovered it only 4-6 months ago, when she stumbled on an early episode in the fourth series (we live in New Zealand), and immediately told me "you really should watch this". I did, and our lives turned a corner. We have also seen the second series on DVD. It is the finest costume epic I have ever seen. Series 1, 3 and 5 are for the future.
One does not often get a sense nowadays, IRL and on the screen, of what it means to be a man of courage, determination and passion. Aiden Turner conveys that, and I immediately warmed to his Irishness (my surname is from Ulster). When women write in social media "Aiden Turner playing Poldark makes my overies squirm". I appreciate where they are coming from.
Is Demelza the sweetest young woman I have ever seen on the screen? Is Tomlinson (a surname that can be found in Appalachia today) the most ravishing ginger in the entire United Kingdom???? She is based on Winston Graham's own Cornish wife. I have read that her Cornish accent is quite good.

The years 1780-1800 were, arguably, the crucible in which the modern world was born. The American, French and Industrial Revolutions. The first calls for a better deal for the common people. The first generation steam engine used to drain the mine. The first inklings of modern business and finance. Dr Ennys does not bleed his patients or use leaches: he is aware of scurvy and diabetes and knows how to treat them.
I must find the novels. I must buy a 3 cornered hat...
