Microphone is a device that converts sound waves into electrical signals. there are two main types of microphones.
1. Dynamic Microphones
2. Condenser Microphones
in this video we talked about dynamic microphones.
Dynamic microphones uses the phenomenon of electromagnetism to convert sound waves into electrical signals.
The outer covering of microphone called windscreen. You speak or sing into the windscreen portion of the microphone. This is the body of microphone.
This part of microphone is called capsule. Sound vibrations are converted to electrical signals inside the capsule. capsule is made up of three main components.
1. diaphragm:
The diaphragm collects sounds. It is comparable to the eardrum in a human.
2. Coil:
The coil is a small piece of wire attached to the diaphragm.
3. Magnet:
It produces a magnetic field for the coil
lets come to the point that how these parts actually works?
The sound waves strike the diaphragm, causing it to vibrate. This vibration rapidly moves the coil surrounding the magnet.
Consequently, the motion of the coil in a magnetic field transforms the sound waves into an electrical signals.
which are then transmitted to the speaker.
