I saw the souls
I saw the martyrs
I heared them crying
I heard them shouting
They were dressed in white
they've been told to wait

The sun was black
the moon was red
the stars were falling
the earth has trembling
And then a crowd impossible to number
Dressed in white
carrying palms
shouted amid
the hotless sun
the lightless moon
the windless earth
the colourless sky ...

They'll no more suffer from hunger
they'll no more suffer from thirst

They'll no more suffer from hunger
they'll no more suffer from thirst

They'll no more suffer from hunger
they'll no more suffer from thirst

This is one of the top 5 best progressive songs I’ve ever heard. I can’t even think of words to describe how amazing this is. I love Pink Floyd, Genesis, Zappa, RTF, Tool, Porcupine Tree, even modern stuff like the Aristocrats, Plini, Intervals, etc.

This song is just on another level. It’s literally transcendent. In fact it’s not only one of the best progressive songs I’ve heard but one of the best songs period. CRIMINALLY underrated.

When I was14 I stole this cassette from the mall .For some reason it caught my eye and I did not know the band or the music but 41 years later I still listen to it and it brings back so many memories of life's past

One of my favorite pieces on the double LP. You can already hear the "Blade Runner' score emerging from Vangelis a decade before he composed it. "Break" is another gem.

Unforgettable. Many memories have become clouded over the decades. But this track is always fresh in my mind.

I was 15 when this album came out for I had been a fan of their pop music while growing up in Europe. And for me, it's the quintessential song of the whole album. A top 10 of all my favorites - and that's saying something, I've been around 67 years on this earth.

Ελληνικό Ροκ συγκρότημα της δεκαετίας εξήντα, πολύ μπροστά από την εποχη του με εξαίρετους μουσικούς, που έχει περάσει στην ιστορία της μουσικής.

Heavenly – it has the same effect on me that Pink Floyd's “Marooned" has. Or Leslie West's "Sea of Heartache". Vangelis forever!

Imparts that pregnant moment, that intangibly electric feeling in the air moments before a storm, or in the case, the bowl judgements.

First heard this 30 years ago, FM station in Boulder CO, we were in the Army tripping on synthetic mescaline, guitar was heavenly....

Vangelis recorded in 1970/71 already sounding 1980s, in a good way of course. Genius, especially considering most keyboard players were trying to sound raw and like Hendrix on a Moog! I think only Tony Banks and Mike Pinder were that close to being this atmospheric at the time.
