I have had Trigeminal neuralgia. I have been fortunate enough to get a retro sigmoid Craniectomy done in 2022, I have been pain free since. The neurological team at the UPMC Presby clinic in Pittsburgh, PA are very good. 😌

I have had it, and occipital neuralgia as well. Thank goodness for Tegretol.

I get this pain every once in awhile and it stops me in my tracks. Feels like a giant shock from my upper jaw to temple. Lasts for a minute but so painful

I had it and it was unbelievable. I kept breaking through pains meds and couldn’t tolerate Lryrca, I eventually had stereotactic radial surgery . It was a bit scary, but now all I feel when it acts up is a slight burning sensation which very light and infrequent and last just a minute or two. After 3 plus years of dealing with it I felt reborn when the procedure worked…

When I have attack, I’ll have it intermittently for a couple of days. Each one is a few seconds. If it lasted any longer I’d have to do something about it. If I’m with someone during that time I always warn them that if I suddenly gasp and/or scream and grab my face I explain what it is and not to panic. I’ve never felt such an unbearable pain. 😭

Thank you Dr. Boster. I have TN and now my Neurologist is testing me for MS. Can you tell me, does one usually get MS and then TN or TN and then MS?

Can that pain be anywhere else in body?

Can it happen from chewing or eating some thing that wasn’t supposed to be hard?

My ex (who also has MS) gets that. Out of no where she'll just start crying.

It totally sucks >_<
