Uganda's 75-year-old President Yoweri Museveni, Thursday, April 9, tried to boost morale after outdoor exercise was banned in the country, releasing a homemade video of him running laps in his office and doing 30 push-ups, proof, he said, that one can stay fit indoors.
Museveni promised he would shoot the video on Wednesday night, as he announced the outdoor exercise ban.
The video shows the president, barefoot and in gray warm-up gear, jogging around his vast, red-carpeted office. "You can do as many laps as you want," he says.
