For the past years, companies have established ambitious carbon goals for the next 10-40 years. While many of them have started their sustainability journey, unfortunately, only a few of them have transitioned their carbon footprint at the corporate level into actionable strategies at the tactical and operational levels. Dr. Josué C. Velázquez Martínez will join course leads Laura Allegue and Kellen Betts, to discuss how to leverage optimization and technology to build more sustainable supply chains.

Dr. Velazquez is a Research Scientist and Lecturer at the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics. He serves as the director of the MIT Sustainable Supply Chain Lab, a research group focused on collaborating with organizations to improve their supply chain and logistics operations by considering environmental, social, and business goals. He is also the director of MIT Low-Income Firms Transformation Lab, a research initiative aimed at alleviating poverty in Latin America.

In this webinar, Dr. Josué Velazquez will briefly discuss challenges and the key role of optimization and technology to drive sustainable supply chain management and logistics decisions. He will also illustrate some practical examples from applied research projects conducted at the MIT Sustainable Supply Chain Lab.

The interactive discussion includes participant polls and a live Q&A. Be sure to participate! We will use Zoom to share our live video and for interacting with you. To join this event please register below.
