Thanks for being here. I know your time is valuable, so I'll keep it short. I own a company called 4LC Studios. I do video production (weddings, commercial, and anything else that grabs our attention). This youtube channel and everything I post is about the journey. I love sharing what I'm learning, how I'm growing, and how I'm failing. I hope you'll follow my journey and be a part of the conversation.

Greetings from Ecuador.! You know it would be a total success that you add subtitles. For certain people who do not understand much English and I include myself.
I recommend your channel in a community in Spanish and many people made me notice that detail.
I have learned a lot with your channel! A hug ✌👏

Thanks so much for posting this. I got the plugin pack a few years ago and then upgraded to the standard version last year during one of their sales. But i doubt I use 10% of its power. Seeing some tutorials that make it clearer why i need to use each plugin would be amazing. Thanks.

PLEASE do a series on audio 🙌🏼 I find there is too much video tutorial and gear review stuff on YouTube. I struggle to find good wedding audio editing tutorials. I feel like everything I find is like 5 years old. Do some stuff just in FCPX too! (I don't have the $$$ for audio programs 🤣) Thanks for the great content Scott!

Hey Scott, I would love to see a more in-depth video on Izotope. I have been using it for a long time but still don’t know how to fully get great results from it. I basically just use it for the De-Reverb feature.

For those who can't afford that yet haha. Main stuff I use is Denoise to get rid of room tone, Declip when they are talking too loud into the microphone and Declick for all that mouth noise. which is in the Elements Bundle. DeVerb is the biggest thing I think you would need the upgrade for. Sometimes I keep some reverb in to give context with how big the room is. DeWind was good too, but I use lapels and haven't had a problem yet in the outside environment. And I use the basic EQ in ProTools to get rid of bumps and pops with a high pass filter and a hi-shelf to get rid of the muffle in the recording.

Then bussing the dialogue, sound effects and music down to a multiband compressor and limiter (Waves Plugins).

But would like to know what extra izotope plugins you feel are needed because I'm planning on upgrading soon.

PLEASE do a full tutorial on this. Oh my goodness, I've had a few weddings where I could have benefited from this.

the sample at 3:15 is VERY impressive!! I would love for Premiere or Audition to get to that level

Scott, I'm looking forward to that video on Izotope, funny because just last night I was asking myself what would be a good program to edit audio. Hope you also show how YOU export your audio from FCPX and process it.

That unedited audio made me think about "WHOPPERNOONIONS"

One time, I was shooting a short film for school, and I had done an entire day of shooting and then I got back and realized the mic input was turned off :(

Took advantage of the special discounts which end on 31st October for the new version. Still expensive though. Surprised at how few videos on it there are. Would really like a masterclass on audio. Anyway looking forward to your more in depth review when you get a chance.

I used to take my audio (pre-wedding business) to Audition mix, but Premiere has made things a little easier... or I've just gotten lazier. Probably lazier... I have used Izotope in the past and it was very intimidating, but MAN it made things sound sound so much better!
