“I think I am one of the most misunderstood footballers on the planet. People don’t really understand what happened to me. They have the story all wrong.”

He lost his dad and lost his fight and love for football depression is a hell of a thing but I’m happy he is okay

He had a short career but did just enough to be considered a Legend and Emperor, not many can pull that off. 👏🏼

If you want to talk about someone who could of compared to R9's talent, this is the guy. He had it all for a striker, size, balance, pace, shot power, dribbling, and heading ability.

Damn he was soo good at Inter. L'imperatore Adriano, che bomber! The death of his father changes him forever. Even in this video you can see how much still hurt to him that. I really wish him the best, he's a good human.

Such a modest person, he is proud of playing alongside great players. I say those players should be proud to have played with Adriano

One interesting thing is how fast he answered without second thought, Ronaldo R9 is the best ever player he ever saw.

Adriano admiring you as a player was easy, you are the Emperatore, but we'll never stop admiring how humble and authentic you are as a human

Zlatan Ibrahimovic on Adriano: "I mean I played with great champions. I played with players that already were 'WOW', I played with players that I saw were a talent and then became 'WOW', but the one I felt could do it longer, and he didn't do it, was Adriano when I was at Inter. When I came to Inter, the first thing I said to the president was, I demanded him to stay because he was the player I wanted to play with. Because, the way he was, he was an animal. He could shoot from every angle, nobody could tackle him, nobody could take the ball, he was a pure animal. But it lasted for a short time... I don't know why, like I said, 50% of everything you do is the mental part. If you don't have it in your head, it's difficult. In his case, I enjoyed playing with him, playing against him, but it's a shame that it lasted such a short time." ☯️

Man nothing but respect he could easily used Massimo Moratti who was known for his loyalty and love to his players and milking million for another 5 years contract
But he decided not to, what a stand up man
And what great player he was

Glad to see him happy at least. Football is not life. At least he made choices that he doesn't regret till this day. I could listen to more of his storys all day long. Even though his career was short, he appreciates alot. Top bloke.

It's difficult. Grief got the better of him, and who knows the other issues that came up. Copa 2004 and Confederations 2005....Adriano was godly
