Headcanon: This is just the previous 88 characters trying to make Sora comfortable and feel like he's home, Min Min lying about making Ramen like this, Mickey pretending to be Mickey Mouse, and possibly Mario getting a new costume based off the Mushroom Kingdom Hearts game "leak" because they fear that if Sora's not happy here they'll get a demand.

Unrelated but if Smash allowed characters from non-gaming, I could imagine Buster Bunny from Tiny Toons getting in and being suspicious of Sora due to Disney buying everything.
