Cuba. 4K Drive Varadero - Havana

A trip from Havana to Varadero is an interesting journey with many interesting things to see along the way. Here are some of the sights worth visiting:

The Bacunayagua Bridge is one of the tallest bridges in Cuba and offers a spectacular view of the surrounding area. The bridge has a restaurant where you can have a drink or a meal.

Matanzas is a historic town about halfway between Havana and Varadero that is worth visiting for its colonial architecture and cultural attractions. It is famous for the Souto Theater, the San Carlos Borromeo Cathedral and the Falmaceutico Museum.

Barajicacos Ecological Reserve - This nature reserve on the outskirts of Varadero is a great place to observe Cuba's unique flora and fauna. Lizards, birds, butterflies, and other wildlife can be found here.

Saturno Caves - These underground caves near Varadero are a popular place for swimming and snorkeling. The crystal clear water is home to a variety of fish and sea creatures, making them a great place for underwater exploration.

Varadero Beach - Of course, Varadero's main attraction is its stunning beach. This white sand beach with turquoise waters is perfect for sunbathing and relaxing, and there are many bars and restaurants on the shore.

Regardless of the economic status, they seem to keep most of the island relatively clean and litter free. Way to go Cuba !

Correction, the drive starts in Matanzas in the video not Varadero.

At 1:29 there's a sign saying Havana 97 km, but Varadero is about 140 km to Havana. And the ocean is on the right side, but on the highway in Varadero heading to Havana the ocean is on the left.

I made this trip from VRA to HAV and it was beautiful. Cuba is a beautiful island with the nicest people I’ve ever met.

Since there are no people to see on the 'drive', a little narration would have helped as to where you are and where you are going. Just from the drive, things don't look THAT bad.
