NIce video! I started again with film photography just two months ago after using various digital cameras (PS, Bridge to DSLR) between Summer 2005 and July 2012. I bought 5 rangefinders from the 1960ies and 1970ies and have fun with shooting on 35mm. I still use all digital cameras for all occasions but if I am in a mood where I want to be me oldschool I grab one of my old rangefinders, fire it up with an Ilford black and white film and stroll through the streets hunting for subjects.

the 2nd guy's story really touched me...about how his father described each of his camera's unique quirks. thats me with my cameras.

I got into photography cause one day i was left alone with my girls camera, so i put my ipod and went and tried to apply what i learned from her books from NYIP. it was so surreal, i was in my world and i kinda liked it. now in 2007 we both make a living from it and compete against each other..

I found a film camera in my basement. A yashica electro 35 :) i love it. It takes better pictures than my digital camera! Going to take it to British Columbia :) soo excited

that's lomo's slogan, which makes sense for low end snapshot camera's. but even then.. there's probably more to see when you really look at something. nice ways of light falling into scenes.. shadows.. contours.. compositions. it'll improve your succesrate for decent shots if you pay a little attention to the subject. totally worth it. it'll train the eye for good compositions too.

I'm 16 and I shoot film cameras more than digital, film is not dead just yet my friends.

there's also stores that sell photo chemicals so you can do the dev yourself! printing the picture analog is a bit more tricky but at least film scanners are affordable :)

I'd love to see T-shirts and bumper stickers made up with that saying on it! :)

I'm not saying that I agree with the slogan "Don't think just shoot" but when I'm on the streets It actually takes me time before I shoot my subject which I think I'm on the "Think before you shoot" side.

perhaps also nice to find yourself a lead cannister for your films. it's a nice little gadget that protects the film from airport security x-rays!

I am thinking about selling my older film cameras. Maybe I should go look at my old photos first, because I do remember the great resolution of 35 mm film.

I shoot both and, while I fully understand the pragmatism of digital, most of the times, digital pictures don't appeal to me like a film picture does.

The trick where I am would be finding film to put in the bloody thing in the first place!!!

I make my money, and living, with digital. 5 markll hassselblad h4d etc.. I do my "Art" on digital. I love the look of film and i love that I make twice the amount of money just to shoot a few Film exposures.
and i hate people who think they are an authority on art and come to tell you that if it ain't film is not art. there's two types of art, the art of capturing a great shot and the art of Making a great shot. Film captures/Digital allows for making.
