So, if you have a lot of listings already up, and you decide to convert to a store, you still have to edit each individual listing to point it into a particular category? Does bulk editing work on Store Category, because that's not an editable field for non-store sellers, so I really don't know. You would think, in this day and age eBay would offer drag and drop (sort of like uploading photos from your home computer when creating a new listing) - see your listings, drag them to a particular category and drop, and let eBay do the rest. Me, I have about 240 listings up on any given day, and if I am going to have to manually edit any of them to get them categorized, well, that will take about 2 days to do....

This information on monthly limits is old as of December 2021. Starter Stores and non-store sellers get 250 free listings per month. The seller fees between the two are the same. Like 12.55% in the Collectibles category. The ONLY price break you get is that non-store sellers pay 35 cents per additional listings over 250, Starter-store sellers pay only 30 cents - if you divide the monthly cost of a starter store by that 5 cent difference, it comes out that you would have to buy 99 extra listings to break even with a $4.95 monthly (annual basis) fee, or 159 extra listings to break even with a $7.95 monthly (month-to-month basis) fee. As a seller, you would have to put up 349 listings per month or 409 listings per month to break even with the cost of the store.

That being said, with a Starter Store, you DO get access to their Promotions Manager and Markdown Manager which allows you to broadcast offers (such as 15% off if you buy 3 or more eligible items, OR free shipping on orders over $100) to virtually everyone who sees any of your listings - and the beauty of that is that eBay calculates all that when the buyer checks out through their shopping cart.
