XP Deus 2 Nail Experiment - As Requested by You

Quick little nail test with the XP Deus II. I did this same test with the Manticore and some folks asked if I would try the same test with the Deus 2 so here it is. The D2 is an incredible metal detector.

I think that size coil is about perfect for general use. Unless you are in a clean field and are going for depth and lots of coverage.

Sensitive ft looks like the winner. I dug a cast I button yesterday with sensitive ft in a place where we have hunted for 6 years.

Good vid man, coffee time! Sensitive full tones is the standout relic program in V 1.10 for an old relic hunter like me. It's not perfect, but effective with a few tweaks. But guys with PWM savvy can hear the falses from the good most of the time! I say if you are on the fence, dig it in a relic scenario.

It's when the nails are in the soil, not on top of the ground. It still keeps finding nails like a champion but when you lay the nail on the ground, it doesn't detect it.

Try turning sensitivity down to 80 or 70s can't get deep in iron anyway. I've been doing it in areas I've hunted in 90 sensitivity. Ive been pulling out alot of targets ive missed

regards from Ecuador, SouthAmerica. One particular thing that amazes me is the hability of the manticore to show more than one target in the 2D section (with their corresponding ID).... I wonder how the Deus II behaves in the same situation (using the XY mode instead of numerical VDI)

Hmm....sensitive full tones wins again in heavy iron....Fast 40 is a copy of the Fast Program but running in a single frequency, 40 kHz

I really like the "mess of nails" way of testing. Just laying out one nail straight seems artificial at best.
