That is the safest Looking 2000+ HP tune I’ve ever seen. Whoever you had tune it really didn’t want to kill you. I’ve been in a 1800hp GTR and it is WAY more insane than your 2000hp. But that is exactly what you want. It’s actually putting down all that power and you could come down south and wax some ass in that car FoSho!!!👍👍🤟🤟

Steve doesn’t understand that traction control is built into the tune lol. That’s why it’s laggy from a dead launch. You can physically hear the traction control working it’s ass off on those launched runs lol.

What’s up y’all. I own the Silver GTR with the orange wheels that came to the Lombard meet. Also own a few other GTR’s. This video had me dying because I pretty much agree with everything 😂. It was hilarious seeing it from a first time GTR driver. 😊

1. There is a lot of lag because of the huge turbos. You weren’t brake boosting it from a stop (launch control) and I don’t blame you because those r888’s woulda just spun, so that is why you felt even more lag. I would highly recommend some 17” beadlocks for the back and 18” radials for the front!

2. With these built cars, you really gotta use all of the RPM range. Stock rev limit is at 7k and that’s what it looked like you were maybe shifting at, which is probably why you didn’t feel all the power. Let her rip all the way and once she build up the boost, you’ll feel a whole different animal!

3. I’ve had that 1-3-5 problem before while driving 😂 it sucked! I was nowhere close to home either. What I ended up doing was disconnecting the battery and letting everything reset and it was fine after. It probably just threw a weird error code that got stored in and kept you in limp mode.

4. I’ve driven different super and HyperCars as well. The GTR is great if you’re a speed head and want to be the fastest. If you don’t care for that, you’re probably better off with something else lol.

I love my GTR and wouldn’t trade it for anything other than a TT v10. Great video and I hope y’all keep it, get some slicks, parachute, and decimate everything on the streets! Can’t wait to see it in person

There’s some things I would try before writing this car off.

1. T1 race development is the best in the business. They build amazing cars and have a fantastic reputation. The car itself is solid. I would try disconnecting the battery as I have also had the 1-3-5 issue.

2. It may have been in the highest map but it wasn’t putting it down at all. Not even close. With motec the traction control is built in to the tune for a lack of a better term. Motec adjusts the boost/timing and many other things that depend on tires, and road condition. from the looks of it you were on a crappy road which is why it didn’t feel crazy.

3. That motor setup needs some rpm. I don’t know the exact rpm the limiter is set but I have seen these cars with similar builds rev to 8500+. That’s where all the boost is.

4. And finally please put some wheels and tires on it. I’d recommend a 17 or 18 inch Beadlock with some et street r’s. This car needs a real tire to actually put the power down. Right now the car is only limited by the tire choice. With the right tires and revving the car out you will be absolutely blown away. It’ll be fast enough to scare you…I can promise that.

Overall the car just needs some minor changes and it will be a whole new animal. If you want to feel the true speed of the car as it sits roll into it at 100mph and let it go from there. Until the car has a good tire on it, it will never feel truly crazy. The car has so much more left In it. Just give it a chance with a good wheel and tire and I promise you’ll fall in love.

Boost by gear and on 20’s your wastage in 1st - probably 1000hp +/-

Running 20” R888 no chance motec is putting down full power in 2-4. You will be spinning all the way.

Get some drag radials or a 15” conversion and see what it really does.

If this guy knew how to drive well (traction control, redline, brake boosting, etc.) he’d be able to feel the true potential of that car and it would pull like crazy 😩

manually shifting you are lossing boost between gears, because of the massive turbos you need to stay on the gas in auto. but also at the stop start hold the gas while breaking to build the boost and then it will launch like a rocket

I feel like it’ll drive better just keeping it in auto instead of manually shifting, you’ll probably stay in boost throughout gears in automatic

Traction control supposed to be off when you drive it motec takes over the those 3 switches on the lower center console that let do drive modes hold the 3rd one down to turn it off MISS MY GTR just didn’t like how it ran always was breaking something

It's essentially a built drag car, the reliability isnt going to be there especially when it's being flogged 20x in a row with no cool down time. This car is literally for the guy that has the shop that built it backing him when he goes out to race it. It's really not meant to be daily driven in the 2k hp map. Either way its cool asf. Not many people can say they have a 2kwhp gtr.

Definitely need a Calvo CM3XXX. Or a Nth moto Viper. But definitely the Calvo viper. Only ones to get 2.8xx 60-130 with RWD

I would not blame the company cause a lot of people that tune their cars to this capacity keep 2-3 spare engines laying around in case one blows up and the same with the gearbox really.
