I keep coming back to this song over the years becuase it’s the only song that can relate to me and somehow make me feel better, it’s the only thing I turn to other than not going to people I listen to music everyday as a means to keep me calm. But it obviously can’t fix anything unless I make my thoughts a reality like she did.

This doesn’t necessarily portray narcissism as it then cuts to the blue screen - “i know all those things never happen”, she’s just a normal girl with a fantasy of dominance and authority. I think the video’s just saying everyone has these types of extreme desires but we don’t actually act upon them in real life, hence the “just imagine” intro

As somebody with manipulative day dream disorder. This is very relatable. Constantly daydreaming, refusing to accept they are all fake, and living a life of what I wish was real until it becomes reality and the lines of what is fake and what is real blurs.

People are saying this is about feminism or self confidence but I feel like they are watching a different video. This is obviously a dream sequence as introduced in the beginning, noted by both the first sample (Just imagine a trip to a wonderful land...) and the first scene of the video.

This video is about a person who dreams of money, power, clothing, and jewels... either because they don't have any or they don't have enough to satisfy them. This character dreams of be held up like a god - walking on people and controlling them with both chains and ropes.

Ultimately this character does not care about any of these people around her as they are just objects within her fantasies.

This video is not about feminism, nor is it about confidence. It is about pure narcissism and immense self-indulgence.
