Heya guys, I want to test the crankshaft sensor and purge valve solenoid on my Mazda 3 2006, but am unsure of what numbers my multimeter would tell me for each component as to whether they do or don't work correctly.

What means when ohms change. I try to measure a heldex pump and I got 12 after start going down slowly. Could be broken?

When using a meter with selection of different ohms range versus the auto setting on ohmns. On the 200 setting I get 1.45 ohms and on the auto I get nothing. I find that very confusing!

I get a 14ohm reading before even touching the probes to anything, Is it normal ?

The confusion of using ohms is where and why you select a particular ohms range on the meter. Need explanation of which selection is used when a devices ohmns is supposed to be within a particular range.

Bro are u serious ? You touched the cable with hands and multimeter ?
When u doing Ohm test u can’t hold the multimeter contact pin because it will give u reading
