Sometimes something doesn't have to be complex or profound to be great and a classic. This is simple and wonderful. Maybe the best feel good song of all time. No wonder the kids are reviving it with these dance videos. It deserves the attention.

Look, I like this song. To pair it with such bad films is absurd. Any cognizant analysis of the song will realize that is not the typical aaba format of most pop songs. I will grant you that it isn't complex, but it is from a Children's TV show. It is still better than 60% of the songs from the same era. No it is not deep or anti-war, But at least it is not formulaic and depressing. It was targeted at Children and hits a home run with them.
