I'm guessing the reason for it's cancellation was it lacked the whimsy of the original. Or, much like "That 80's Show" or "Schooled", it was introduced while the original series it was spun-off from was still being 1st-aired. Or it just lacked good enough writing to keep it afloat, much like much of the trappings that have come as of late. Sorry, ladies... but you just can't simply gender swap "Starkey & Hutch" and expect to get "Cagney & Lacey".😕

Now in the second season, this show has become a cartoon. There are too many stupid things to list but here's just one. Miss Fisher does not appear to have any paying clients in her "private detective" capacity. Is it just a hobby now?
