This is an actual medical condition called PMLE. The doc thinks my son has it.

My mother had Lupus and she could not be out in the sun. I also had a friend who worked in the building next to where I worked and he had Lupus terribly bad and when he would get out in the sun he would blister like really really bad. If the sun light shined on his neck for two minutes he would blister the back of his hands in his arms were so scarred up that they would blister in less than one minute. He was an electrician that worked on air conditioners and heat units HVAC. He was out working one day and from being wrapped up in as much clothing as he had on him he was sweating really bad and he got electrocuted and had to be rushed to the hospital where he almost died. Lupus also affects your heart but the strangest thing is after he was electrocuted he got to realizing that it did not bother him as much if any at all being out in the sun and it also repaired his heart problems he had. I wish I could tell you more but I don’t know what even happened to him after that he was in his 60s and I was in my 20s I don’t know if he retired or what but he said if he knew that getting electrocuted would have fixed his problems he would have done it years ago.

Wow I am the same. It is so good to hear somebody else. But they have the same issue that I do, I'm half Korean and half German, and I was a sun worshiper. When I was younger, I was so dark. Then. For some reason started becoming allergic to the sun, they tested me and found out that I'm allergic to vitamin d when I'm out in the sun, I break out in a rash and it's painful, and I too cannot stand summer anymore, used to love summers, I used to love to go out, do things, and they're like, oh, get out, exercise walk and I can't until dark, but then I'm in the area. That's not safe at night, so I bought exercise bike and treadmill, but I can't really do too much during the day, and I live in state that. Shuts down at 9 o'clock at night. I'm in tears right now, because I felt like I was weird. My doctor said, they've never heard of that before my endocrinologist, and that it's just. Eczema, and they have given me topical cream because there are times I have to go to the store, so I have to run outside with long sleeves, no matter how hot 101 degrees, 109 degrees, and I'm sweating and heat actually also makes me break out in a painful rash and people laugh at me. Knew what triggered it, and neither do the doctors, it just midlife, I could no longer be in the sun, and I too was called a vampire and it's just. So. Terrible to have this thing, but it's nice to know that there are other people out there that have the same problem that I do.thank you for putting this on your show Steve
