I was arguing with someone who claim that Christianity is declining in the Muslim world because of intolerance in Islam. I asked him then why Christianity is also declining in Christian conservative countries in a much higher rate as well? He couldn't answer. I was gonna show him video of churches in Muslim countries full of worshipers VS the countless empty churches in Europe. I think Islam doing the opposite. Islam seems to have preserved Christianity and continue to inspire and enriching the Christian literature and heritage.

The way I see the lack of attraction of a religion among young generation is the incoherency in the core doctrine. The trinitarian doctrine being majority among christians, the idea falls apart at the most basic theological scrutiny.

With the rise of liberal ideas and values among the newer generation, they are the first ones who face these questions and eventually reaches to a point where they see either the core trinitarian idea doesn’t sound quite right or they can't connect the dots. Thus it fundamentally disconnects them from the religion.
In comparison, Islamic arguments are much more easier to make, logically sound, be it with the darwinists or atheists.
I'd say in this century, the biggest threat to religious values is liberalism and far left values that are systematically preached and indoctrinated among children from the get go.
No religion ever manage to achieve this in such a short time in whole history of mankind!

The church fought tooth and nail in Europe to drive Muslims out of there and let far lefts and liberalism take charge. Look at the irony now, they are ones who will be the downfall of the church.

less than 2% of UK's population go to Church, whereas here in Dhaka (capital of Bangladesh) we have 1-2 mosque in nearly every street and yet people have to end up praying in the streets on a Friday Jummah because the mosques are full. God is Most Great.

This is actually an interesting and a very important conversation to have; as the demographics of the world at large changes and populations migrate back and forth - physically and philosophically - and we can no longer simply paint many lands with one simple brush, as we may had been able to in the not so distant past.

As Brother was speaking, I kept thinking of all the decent novels from British traditions and later European traditions—Jane Austen novels, Charles Dickens’ novels, (not as popular in reading lists anymore; Bronte’s Jane Eyre; Thackeray, etc.—all those scenes of active family life and universal ethics, until the postmodern novels began coming around:)—It is a healthy challenge for good Faith people to keep holding on to their own traditions and Faiths instead of letting Nihilism take over, causing much emptiness.
