I was considered too hard and too tough for the SAS. They couldn’t deal with me or keep up on tabs.
So I joined the local CrossFit club instead.

Britain is without doubt and always has punched way above it's weight. We just have that tenacity and no matter the numbers/odds facing us we just get shit done.

A friend of mine was ex SAS. He was 70 years old, could lift incredible weights and going through the woods I could not keep up with him. He was run off a trail by some yobs on motorbikes. He fell a long way down a bank with all his kit. He got up, dusted himself down and carried on his walk. He came to a pub and there were the six bikes. He went in and asked them to come out. They just laughed at the old guy. He knocked over a couple of the bikes into the others. They came out and he introduced himself to them. He had a lovely quiet walk to the finish. He was as hard as they come but a lovelier guy you could not meet. I have met many others over the years and most are the same. Got great respect for them all.

Everything I’ve watched, almost all operators say SAS are the best. Not out of their league but the best. I’m an American who loves America. Sometimes the truth hurts. I’m glad they are our friends.

My uncle was in the SBS in the 60s and 70s. Not big, not showy, but just carved from granite and unbelievably determined at anything he did. These guys are a different breed of animal.

The Yanks might have all the kit, but when things go sideways, the SAS and SBS are the ones you really want to come bail you out.

It’s amazing to hear another Englishman/Brit talk with such pride about our country and the good things we are and have done it’s so rare now to see its ridiculous

My late dad was a bootneck for 20 and 7 in the SAS . Saw action in many parts of the world. Counter terrorism. Humble and clear of purpose. Absolute legend of a man and a golden father. These men are a cut above. Thank you Dad and men like Billy.

There’s about 1, 000, 001 stories from all different countries and conflicts about how X group was in a real dark looking situation, until suddenly, *a wild Brit appears* and starts saying shit like “ ‘ello there gentlemen. I heard you guys were in a spot of bother, can we be of any assistance?” 😂 as a half Australian, half British dude, I couldn’t be more proud of just how understated and calm my country men can be In hectic situations 🤣

Its not him being big its a fact and every time you read, hear or watch something about SF's from around the World, they ALL say the same and they massively look up to our lads. The SAS and the SBS are the greatest and the best SF's on the planet....🇬🇧✌️

Total agree, work with what you got. Modern armies have all technology based assistance but once it goes down all you have is what you carry.

These are the guys we call on when shit well and truly hits the fan. When the Iranian Embassy siege was going on for days. They sent the sas in and it lasted 17 mins to secure the full building.
