The whole Gokuldham is in suspense. They have been chasing this invisible ghost all night but they cannot find anyone. They only hear voices over the speaker. This voice has taken them over to the society clubhouse and still, they are in the dark. Suddenly the lights turn off and everyone gets scared. Again they find a speaker hidden under the sofa. But now, the invisible person talks to them and puts forward some conditions. Will they agree?

The show is inspired by the famous humorous column 'Duniya Ne Undha Chasma' by the eminent Gujarati writer Mr. Tarak Mehta. This story evolves around happenings in "Gokuldham Co-operative Society" and covers topical issues that are socially relevant. The show predominantly revolves around 'Jethalaal' (Dilip Joshi), an uneducated Gujarati businessman. Your 'Taarak Mehta' (Sachin Shroff), is his neighbor. 'Jethalaal' finds a friend and philosopher in 'Taarak Mehta' and often goes to him for advice whenever he is in trouble. Jethalaal's family includes his simpleton wife 'Daya Ben' (Disha Wakani) and a mischievous son 'Tapu' (Raj Anankat). Tapu is a menace and a constant source of trouble to all the members of Gokuldham. They have often warned 'Jethalaal' to reform 'Tapu' or else be prepared to leave the premises.

When the second Tapu came, everyone moaned, but he did a very good job...and now this new Tapu has just entered and judgements have started! Give the poor guy a chance! This show will only end if Sony Sab pulls the show...major characters have been replaced and it is still going. Tapu's character is as important as some of the adult leads and he has now been replaced twice and show is still going on, people are still watching! The only character that may fail the show tremendously if replaced, is Jethalal because there can never be a Dilip Joshi replacement for Jethiya!
