As someone who didn't study physics, I can confirm that I didn't understand anything

It's not that hard guys. If you line up your right hand to follow a field flowing from knuckle to finger tip, the direction your thumb points is "North". Also to those confused by the Earth's pole flipping thinking that the whole earth needs to stop and spin the other way, no. That's not how that works. It's about following the field so the magnetic field rotates over this flipping the field. Nothing slows to a stop.

The curling of the right hand is the spinning of the object orbit the thumb pointing upwards is the north pole. So if the object spins left to you the North Pole is above you. If the object spins right to you the north pole is below you.

If you grabbed the earth with your right hand and the earths spin is counter clockwise (following the curve of your fingers) the direction your thumb points is the North Pole. Idk why it would be “north” for every planet though.

This makes absolutely no sense in detecting where the pole is 🤷‍♀️

We can have a person doing a thumbs up in New York, another in Paris, and another in Sydney, and all their thumbs are going to be pointed in different directions.

And when we ask each of them "based on your thumb only, where is the North Pole?" they will have varying answers that are all wrong.

Like what the hell does he mean "any object. ANY OBJECT."
