First recorded QUAD E ever.

Player- Devin Ogilvie (Salish Junior/Senior Jazz Band)
Grade 10.

To put into perspective and visualize just how high this is, the highest recorded note prior to this is a quadruple g, played by Arturo Sandoval in “Night in Tunisia” during the concert ending lick. 5 notes above (more than half an octave) is this note. That’s sitting on top of the 13th line, and 18th if you include the staff. Try writing it out as an attempt to comprehend the completely unnecessary feat.

Wow. Really steady pitch for something that high, must’ve taken a lot of work. That’s quite a lot better than i could play anything in this register, and I’ve been playing for 22 years!

That’s not even a note he just took a squeaker out of a dog toy and put it into one of the valve slides
