When moving, if you have time while packing get rid of things you don’t need or want! Also, get what you can afford. Not having a place equal to your friends luxury apartment is okay! Be proud of living on your own and supporting yourself!! Last, label your boxes and try to pack how it will be put away

I haven't moved out on my own yet, but I have moved a lot. My biggest tip would be to start getting a game plan for packing when you know that you will be moving. Moving is very stressful, but it can be less stressful if you are prepared ahead of time. I would always go through my closet, donate clothes I knew I didn't want anymore, go through and organize my room, and start throwing stuff out before it got time to move so I wasn't so stressed with doing it all at once!

We are in the process of moving. We are gradually moving small things over now during the week and we are moving all of the big things on Saturday. Good thing is that we have about 1 whole month to get our old apartment cleaned and everything. Going from a small apartment to a decently sized house is expensive. So much stuff you have to buy. That is a super nice apartment though, probably one of the nicest that I have seen.

I am also moving out in about 3 weeks! My personal advice I’ve learned in the last couple months since the final arrangements were made is to definitely look around for anything that you can have for free. My bosses and family have so many things they no longer need that they have (very kindly) given to me for free and saved me probably around $1500 which is a life saver. And if you’re moving around Christmas time, make an Amazon list. It really helps family to know what you still need and what you like, and helps them to help you ☺️

I'm so jealous of your apartment! When I got my first apartment, I lived with a roommate, and our place wasn't terrible, but definitely wasn't as nice as this one! The one big thing I learned from living on my own for the first time is that you don't really need to get everything at once. For me at least, a comfortable bed was the top priority, and then everything else (kitchen table, couch, etc...) came after that. Also, Ikea is the BEST place to buy a lot of first apartment stuff. SO cheap, but decent quality stuff for the price
