STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE
0:24: Raise the pump rate to 100 SPM and observe the drill pipe (DP) pressure increase.

0:40: Set rotation at 60 RPM.

0:43: Increase weight-on-bit (WOB) to ~26 kips and observe the drilling rate (i.e. ROP) increase to ~44 ft/hr.

0:56: ROP increase, but Flow Out remains equal to Flow In. False kick alarm.

2:52: Another false kick alarm. No flow back once drilling stops (3:33) confirms the false alarm.

4:15: KICK!!! ROP increases and Flow Out is bigger than Flow In. Once drilling stops (5:12) flow back confirms that a kick is taken.

5:30: In the BOP tab, close the BOP (Enable —> Upper Pipe Ram CLOSE). Observe the flow meter reading increase.

5:49: Open the choke line (Enable —> Choke OPEN). Then go to the Choke tab, set Rig Air ON and close the choke to 0% (Choke Control OFF). Observe the choke pressure increase.

7:36: DP pressure takes a bit, but starts increasing.
