Back when I sold Steve Wozniak's home I gained a little glimpse into his creative mind and genuine love for kids -- he holds true that they are our future and need to be able to expand their minds and pursue their passions. In this vein, one of the most intriguing customizations he made to his property is this man-made underground structure, mimicking a real cave. I had asked Steve if he would walk us through the cave and tell us about it's inspiration and creation. The video above is excerpts of that walk-through.

With multiple entry points including one secret, underwater viewing portal to the adjacent koi pond, integrated tv and electronics (how could he NOT?), this cave is fully decked out. Attention to detail was even paid in the form of buried treasures, faux skulls, fossils, stalactites and stalagmites, and even dinosaur footprints adorned throughout. Truly a marvel of imagination and ingenuity, this cave is certainly a treasure for kids and kids at heart.

Once upon a time, my dad actually knew Steve Wozniak.
And I, as a child, got to go in this very cave.

I can't believe it wasn't a childish fantasy, it really happened!
"THE WOZ lives in here" he told us. We spent a long time searching inside of it for the beast, not knowing it was his own nickname! XD

I loved this video, made me relive something I'd almost forgotten.

True Story.

I think the same holds true for today.  There are people int he world hope of wonder for humanity and so many lost people and sick people full of hope of  a broken humanity that can never escape the daily life and drudgery of being a slave in the system.

I grew up in Los Gatos (80s and 90s). I remember rumors about Wozniak's house and that it had not only a cave but a go-kart track carved into the mountain. I'm not sure if the go-kart rumor was true.
