I lived in Silicon Valley for many years in the '80s, '90s and early 00's...and Wozniak was a beloved figure in the valley. Woz personifies the character of Silicon Valley in the early days: curiosity, creativity, innovation, technical prowess, hard work, humanity. Then the billionaires were created or arrived from elsewhere, and the love of new ideas was replaced with the love of money. The idea of creating a market with superior ideas was replaced with dominating a market with enormous monopolies that shut out new ideas. That's when I left.

Mr. Wozniak is a gem of a man. I served him and his wife at a bar one evening (he had Diet Coke!) and he treated everyone, staff included, with kindness and respect. Great guy.

Wozniak is an icon. I am 56, I am from Bulgaria, this is in Easter Europe. I am a professional programmer form 34 years. One of my first computers was Apple II back in 80-s. America is great with people like Steve Wozniak. He is a real engineer. Thank you Steve :)

Steve comes from a time when Nerds were bullied and instead of becoming one, like the techbros, he still fights bullies and understand they should have no place in this world.

All good comments except - "I don't vote". If you don't vote you vote for Trump. Simple as that. As they say, democracy is not a spectator sport.

His autobiography is a great read. He is still the same person now as he was then. Down to earth, intelligent and thoughtful. A man to be admired.

I am from Australia and I have been following Steve Wozniak for many years. A most humble and good-spirited human being. I regard his observations and thoughts in all seriousness. Come to Australia Steve, but beware, in Australia voting is compulsory !

Steve Wozniak is the epitome of integrity and humility. He built the tech world we live in today, and yet remains grounded, focused on morality, and always willing to speak the truth. We need more leaders like him who care about decency, not just profits. 🙌

Steve Wozniak is a Legend. Without him and Steve Jobs, Apple wouldn't have existed.

"They don't talk to us."
Good interface design requires empathy.
We know what EM thinks of that.

The "I do not vote part" living in a democracy is lost on me, but other than that, voices like his remind me that there is some decent people left overseas.

Please tell Steve to friggin vote!!!! Steve influences a lot of people to not vote if that’s what he believes. He needs to vote now and speak up.

Love hearing from the actual genius of Apple who made it the company it became. The OG hand making motherboards in a garage at like 20.

You don’t vote to show approval, you vote for the one who is less damaging. Not voting increases the chances for worst option.

Lech Walesa, the leader of Poland’s Solidarity movement, which helped end Moscow’s grip on Eastern Europe at the end of the Cold War, joined with former Polish political prisoners on Monday to send an impassioned letter to President Trump voicing “horror and disgust” at his scolding of President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine last week, saying it reminded them of their encounters with bullying Communist-era officials.
