it's because a lot of those same people that don't care about the story have VASTLY misguided opinions on characters' personalities and events to the point they are confidently declaring their incorrect notions as fact.

Recently Genshin really has been upping there game on their story lines, especially the Fontaine archon quest! We aren't going to discuss how long Aranyaka is.

I just find it annoying when non story people just spread false facts they found online. And then they ask why the story escalated so fast? Maybe it’s because you skipped through the whole thing😭

It's right there... just... read it.

Genshin is easy enough to beat that your build only needs to be “good enough”. But as some others have mentioned, people ignoring the story AND/COMBOD with misrepresentations characters can be pretty annoying.

It’s the equivalent of someone who claims not to care about builds going and spreading info like “build high em on geo”.

The only reason i dislike them disregarding the story is because they then mischaracterise characters and then proceed to spread around their beliefs as truth

The number of people who know nothing about the game's characters is just IMMENSE

They also have a tendency to make groundless opinions from baseless assumptions about things

Like, do you know how many posts there are thinking Rex Lapis, and Zhongli are different people? I didn't even think there'd be confusion there and yet there is

Not to mention the fact opinions on characters and whatnot are based on pure speculation

It's perfectly fine if you don't care about the story, just don't expect everyone to agree on your take about something that you know nothing about because you did in fact skipped the story

Maybe it's just me, but if I see a skip button in a game I've never played before, I would end up thinking the story is so bad you can skip it because it's not worth it. Which considering genshin's story doesn’t fit it at all.

To be fair, the actual main story is fine for what it is. If anything it's very sluggish, but that's the nature of the beast. But I don't want to be forced to watch the hundred millionth Itto event and filler quests where I'm told everything twice because Paimon has to repeat everything that's just been said.

I don't focus on the story and game but I do listen to a lot of lore stuff from vids I don't really like looking into the lore when I'm playing a action game like this I usually like looking into it after I'm done playing it

I have one simple reason.
Skipping the story is completely disregarding the creators' efforts to write and animate everything (yes, even the ones with no cutscenes).
Skipping combat on the other hand, is not really "skipping". You're still gonna fight, just not gonna spend hours farming for the perfect artifact for the best character in each patch. And I've never seen any story players complain about a "skip fight" button, meanwhile you can't spend 30min on twitter without someone asking for a skip cutstene button (witch can get annoying)..

We all know why there isn't one, they want to slow down your primogem earnings as much as they possibly can, that's why world quests have such a bloated amount of lines

I mean skipping the side quest story is fine but you can’t skip the archon quest. Unless you’ve already played through it of course

Some people play on a time limit & don't have a spare hour to read never ending conversations when the end result is kill a f ing robot 🤖

Well i do literally everything in the game (combat, exploration, story, music) so im gonna keep on judging people who skip story or skip combat or... and they can't do nothing about it because i have no weak points in this matter

I play for the story. But I don’t judge people or the characters. In fact I love all of them. I also play HSR and HI3 plus WUWA and ZZZ. And I love each of their storylines

The most i hate are crit lovers, they value crit over evrything like hp/em/atk and complain and call you a cheater when you do more damage
