Ann-Margret and Elvis shared a steamy affair that turned into an enduring friendship and a deep level of mutual respect over time. Many suspected that they just might be soulmates – Ann-Margret included. But their passionate romance led Priscilla to reconsider their life together and reportedly amid all that questioning she broke a vase in a fit of fiery rage and jealousy.

In this video, we're going to address both Elvis' relationship with Ann-Margaret as well as the foundation of his relationship with his one and only wife Priscilla. Both romances could certainly be called storybook-ish but they both had their own issues and caveats.

Priscilla and Elvis made a good looking couple, no doubt about that, but marrying someone to "mold them or change them to what you want them to be, " never works.

Elvis wasn't a 'budding star' when he was posted to Germany. He was already a super-star with a string of hits and perhaps the most recognised face on the planet.

My husband was 23yrs older than me. We were together 29yrs & 10 months when he died. 7yrs later I'm still alone. He always thought I'd get married again. We had 1 son who is educated and loved.

I think there was a profound love between both of them. His life was impossible with meteoritic fame and a life that ended up in substance abuse. Many iconic star's lives lead them to confusion, marriage breakups, addiction, self-destruction, etc. I still believe they loved each other. As for him, he is my favorite entertainer since I was 5 years old. He was iconic and very vulnerable. He made many mistakes; very human.

I met my husband when I was 14 in 1962, he was 19. We married 3 years later when I graduated HS. It wasnt that unusual in the 60s. We were married 19 years. My 2nd husband was 12 years older. I was 38 and he was 50, and it certainly was not a big deal as 2 adults.

Good evening to all. I read almost everything that was commented on here. And I would like to say that the book written by Priscilla should not be treated as the ultimate truth. I'm sure it's a subjective version because it's written by her. So I think the truth is in the middle and we don't know it. .I don't even know if it matters that much. However, I know for sure: Elvis' legacy is alive. We are the ones who have listened to his songs over the years. We still do. Beyond all the opinions expressed here, I saw clearly: we all want to see Elvis on stage. .that means it matters to us. Have a nice day and thank you for being his fans. 🙂

I think it’s a little bit ridiculous how Ann-Marget always claims she is “the love of his life etc”. She doesn’t know that, Elvis cannot confirm that. What we do know is that he had a short lived romance with Ann - Margret during filming and then he broke up with her and married his life- long partner Priscilla. Many people claimed that Priscilla “forced” him to marry her, I find that stupid. He looked extremely happy to be with her both on his marriage and the previous year when he organised a surprise party for her- supposedly he was with Ann- Margret then. I can’t help but compare this situation to when females keep saying that someone was their “soulmate” while he is married with kids from another woman and he only had a short lived romance with them during breaks. Back then things where different. People married younger, age gap was not an issue and men used to think cheating is ok as long as you provide for your wife. When Priscilla broke up with him he was destroyed, he begged her not to. This is what we do know. He kept his communication with her open throughout his life, he respected her and trusted her as the mother of his child. He never married again and kept having short lived affairs after her. Keep in mind he could have any woman he wanted, but he chose her from very early on and didn’t change his mind.

My husband was 16 years older than me, in high school when I was born. We met when I was 29 and he was 45 (ok not 14 but my mother didn't want me to even date when I was almost 17). We were indeed soul mates. He just passed away after we had 38 beautiful years together and I honestly can't recall a day when I wasn't happy. Sure we had problems, you don't get everything in life. But if you get love, true unselfish, giving love, you truly do get it all.

I'm a year younger than Priscilla, and was married at 17, right after graduating HS. My husband was 6 years older. It wasn't that uncommon in the 60s! Men and women were far more mature back then!

Ann Margret should have left Elvis alone. He was with Priscilla, and Ann knew that. I would never go after a man who is married or has a girlfriend. I would never disrespect another woman like that!

She knew what she wanted and she wanted Elvis . Once you fall in love with someone it’s hard to get that person out of your mind and heart .

Age was not a problem in those days. I once read that when Ann Margaret had a horrific fall from stage during a performance, she injured her face terribly, crushed bones, etc. Elvis did visit her, but left the room, not to see her again. I think he truly loved Priscilla.

I was an American teen in West Germany from late '74 to June '77, and it wasn't all that unusual for high school girls to date U.S. military personnel, young soldiers and airmen stationed in the Frankfurt area. One of my classmates married an airman and he seemed like a fine fellow. And I hope it all worked out for them.

Elvis loved all women and aĺl women loved Elvis. The affair with Ann was purely a sexual thing but still Cilla felt threatened by it. Ann and Elvis remained respectful to each other for the rest of his life but he married the love of his life and it was she that gave him one thing money can't buy, a family. His daughter Lisa was the light of his life. When Elvis lost his Cilla, he lost his reason for living. He realized much to late how much he loved her, how much he needed her. He was so lonely without her..Elvis died wanting his family back. He died loving Priscilla and today, she loves him still .

My Dad married my Mother during that time. Mother was 16 and my Dad 19. People married young at that time. Certainly wasn't illegal.

Priscilla was the daughter of a high ranking military officer. By age 14 she already was wise in the ways of the world having traveled extensively with her family.
I believe her lines in the new ELVIS movie told TRUTH. She could no longer tolerate the drug use & what it did to her beloved husband. She protected their daughter & herself by leaving. I'm sure she never stopped loving Elvis. I think Elvis never stopped loving Priscilla . 💕
