A few random stats: 1) 8% of all natural gas is imported from Canada. In January and February, when domestic natural gas supplies are low, the states of ID, MT, and ND heavily rely on Canadian natural gas. 2) 69% of all vegetables sold in the US are imported from Mexico 3) 52% of all voters, according to exit polling, voted for Trump because of the reason of inflation. This is going to be the biggest social experiment; the politician who won votes because of inflation and won office, the first thing he's going to do is implement tariffs which will cause inflation to raise. It feels like we're living in a game show called, "How stupid is the average American voter?"

71 million ppl in the country voting for a man because of the
"price of goods are too high", only for him to increase prices on his first day in office, has to be regarded as one of the greatest social experiments of all time.

No problem. We'll just apply your own tariff to the energy we sell you that powers half the eastern seaboard. Oh, you don't like that? Too bad, we'll do it to the oil you import. Did you know Canada is your largest supplier of oil? Bring it on.

As Canadian citizens, that would kill our economy with massive layoffs across the country. Our dollar would tank to third world levels cause Canada to shut our border down like Covid to the United States to battle the problem... 😢
