Last century quality, but quality aside, very few have ever visited this country. Even fewer with video footage which was something you had to be very careful doing. Extreme paranoia.
After Nigeria closed it's border on us our only option to continue our Trans Africa expedition was through Tchad, Chad. Either spelling same risky detour as it was still at civil war.
From the border at N'Guigmi (Niger), across Lake Chad successfully negotiating dozens of military gun posts, through Bol to N'Djamena, surrounded by guns, tanks and land mines, through Sahr where we all should have died from the mob chasing us, to the border at Central African Republic. From the frying pan literally back into the fire. At fifty degree Celsius plus days, night travel by stars kept us alive, in the most dangerous way possible.
