Ich hab noch nie jemanden gehört, wie er Porno als Ausruf der Freude sagt! Aber was witzig noch ganz interessant wäre: "Sich wie ein Honigkuchenpferd freuen"

Another entertaining, educational and funny video! Interestingly, "the bomb" is also an older English expression for something that's great. Super seems to also mean the same in both German and English.

Hammer !! In Bulgarian you can hear an answer to "how's it going?" in the lines of " Everything is a hammer" meaning everything is awesome.

Thank you for the video, quite helpful.

Meine (typisch norddeutsche) Art auszudrücken, dass etwas wirklich gut ist: "Joa..."
Bei übermßiger Begeisterung kommt sogar ein anerkennendes Kopfnicken dazu ^.^

Amazingly well done video Trixie. Love how much effort you spend on these hilarious and snarky examples. Hidden gems in an already spitze video!

Mama rabbit truly wunderbar! 😂😝 I wish you such joy with the little and littlest rabbit that you'll have every occasion to use such exclamations of Joy. By the way an old expression used in English from the early 20th century was Bully! As in bully for you that something good has happened.
Like before watching as always. Take care Trixi.

Australians use "The Bomb" as in "That Movie was the Bomb" meaning It was Great or The Best & A Movie can "Bomb" Which means to "Under Perform or Fail", English Go Figure😖, Love Your Videos they always make me laugh & I learn something new, Thanks 🙂👍

I actually learned a lot of these when I was studying German. Prima, Super, Spitze and Klasse were the normal ones but later I picked up on “das ist ja geil”

Funny story about “geil” when I first started learning German I mispronounced the phrase “Das ist mir egal” as “Das ist mir geil” 😅

Trixi/Svenja, I love your videos! You address linguistic subjects that are often difficult for German learners to find elsewhere.
In American English, we have some very strange words that express delight or astonishment. The word "sick" can mean "awesome" in American slang. The word "dope" can mean the same thing. In former times, some used the word "groovy" to mean "good" or "awesome". Go back a bit further and you might see the word "snazzy" or "copacetic".

Sorry, falls ich das in nem Anfall von Sekundenschlaf überhört hab, aber könnte es sein, dass du Wahnsinn/wahnsinns vergessen hast? Also ich sag tatsächlich vor allem im positiven Sinne des öfteren "Das ist ja Wahnsinn!" oder "Das ist ja ein wahnsinns-wasauchimmer"
