Mexi Moco: A Fusion Delight of Hawaiian and Mexican Flavors | Taco Libre's Unique Dish

Показать описание
In this video, we are bringing you a delicious and unique dish called Mexi Moco. It's a fusion of the Hawaiian Loco Moco and Mexican flavors, and it's a creation that we're really excited about.
For this version of Mexi Moco, we're using beef as the protein, although traditionally it includes pork and carne asada. We're also making some adjustments to make it more suitable for our taste today. We start by cracking open some eggs, and we have a little fun with it, trying to crack one with just one hand.
To assemble the dish, we use a tortilla and cut it in half to provide a firmer base. Then we add vegetarian refried beans, cheese, and our homemade Mexican rice, which is a recipe passed down from our mom. It took some trial and error to perfect it, but it's absolutely delicious.
Next comes the star of the dish, the "birria meat" (beef) that we're using for the first time. We place two sunny-side-up eggs on top and smother it all with our homemade red salsa, which adds a fantastic flavor. Finally, we garnish with fresh cilantro and onions for that extra touch.
Now it's time to dig in and taste this amazing creation. The red sauce blends beautifully with the other flavors, giving it that Hawaiian-Mexican fusion taste. The corn tortilla, the meat, the rice, and even the flavorful beans all contribute to a truly satisfying and unique dish.
We're thrilled to share this Mexi Moco recipe with you and hope you give it a try. If you're in the area, make sure to visit Taco Libre in Old Kōloa Town to experience our flavors firsthand. Thank you for watching, and we appreciate your support. Aloha!
