Introducing FinalStraw, The World's First Reusable, Collapsible Straw | Launched On Kickstarter

FinalStraw launched on Kickstarter in April 2018 with a goal of raising $12,500. The product struck a chord. The Kickstarter was funded 200% in less than 24 hours and by the close of the campaign, FinalStraw raised $1.89 million. The momentum hasn’t stopped. Since launching, FinalStraw has prevented approximately 250 million single-use straws from entering the environment.

But even if all the plastic straws in the world were to disappear overnight, we would still have a major plastic pollution problem. That’s why our mission is to create reusable, responsibly-made, badass products that reduce our reliance on single-use, empower individuals to change, and raise awareness of the impacts of our everyday decisions.

I got mine in the mail last week. I don’t use straws in my water, juice, milk. I don’t even drink soda at all. When I go out for dinner I tell my waitress/waiter “no straw in my drink please”. Where I am guilty of using straws is frappuccinos. You kind of need a straw to drink a Frappuccino. Every time I order a Frappuccino I feel guilty. That’s why I got my final straw. No more guilt on frozen drinks. 🙂

Hahaha, great videos, love them. Had a good laugh and am happy there is at least a solution for those that use straws (I simply don't use any really).

Thanks for the initiative and the laughs :)

Gonna admit I bought this for my girlfriend. Mostly because I want to play with it and show off how it expands!

Does it come in bendy-straw like the version of one use straw at the beginning. My mom's got a disability that prevents her from lifting cups and tipping them without spilling it all over herself, so Bendy straws keep her hydrated. we have some dangerous, sharp edged metal straws she uses, but those can be dangerous cause the sharp edges can pierce skin.

Also... Does it come in a thinner version? It looks SUPER fat and wouldn't be able to fit through the hole in the hole in the cap on her metal thermos cups that she drinks out of

When I see this I think of the War Thunder hitcam, but with a metal straw and a VSCO girl head, and it's even more satisfying.

I feel like one day without thinking I would throw it away after all the years ingrained in my brain of throwing out straws especially in fast food fountain cups.

So, I love this idea, and it's definitely needed. But I have a legitimate question. If you use it to drink a soda while at the movies, the outside of it is going to be very sticky. So you would need to remove the straw from your cup when you throw your cup away, and then go immediately to the restroom to wash your hands and also the straw because if you don't wash it then, then you have to wash it and the case when you get home. Is the Assumption here that I'm going to fold it back up and just wipe my fingers on my pants?

You can bring final straws on airplanes right? Or no because it could be a weapon?
